Accommodation & Facilities
Historic Gartmore House dates from 1793, and is a charming building with plenty of character. You are welcomed by an impressive entrance hall with stained glass windows, high ceilings and a grand fireplace. Our stylish and comfortable bedrooms boast traditional Scottish touches. There are several spacious rooms in which the residential courses take place; with views across the Trossachs to Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. More information about the meeting rooms can be found on our webpage Conferences at Gartmore House >>.
Breakfasts at Gartmore House
B&B only stays and guests who are staying with us whilst attending a craft or activity course enjoy a delicious full Scottish breakfast, or the option of a lighter continental breakfast.
There are 23 en-suite bedrooms at Gartmore House, and three bedrooms with shared bathroom facilities. The bedrooms are a mixture of twin, double and family occupancy.
Each bedroom is individually decorated with Scottish touches and stylish furnishings. All include tea and coffee making facilities, a mirror and dressing table, and a telephone. Towels and toiletries are provided in the en-suite bathrooms. There are no televisions in the rooms, however there is a television and DVDs for guest use in the library downstairs and also in the Oak Room. View our bedroom gallery >>.
The views over the national park from all of our family rooms are outstanding, with some that stretch 25 miles across to Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument.
Accessibility & Lift
All bedrooms in the house can be reached by a lift. We have one dedicated accessible bedroom that features an en-suite bathroom with assistance rails, grab bars and a ‘roll-in’ shower. Additionally, we have two further rooms which have ‘shower-only’ en-suite bathrooms that may be suitable for your requirements. Please contact us should you have any queries regarding accessibility, as our team are here to help.
Bedrooms with Shared Bathrooms
We have three non-en-suite bedrooms that share a bathroom. These are accommodated in a self-contained area of the house. For our craft and activity courses, accommodation is however usually offered in en-suite bedrooms; if for any reason this is not possible, we will let you know in advance.
Library, Bar, Dining Room & Oak Room
We have a well-stocked cosy library, where you can relax with a book, or play a board game with friends. All meals are served in our spacious dining room on the lower floor of the house, with delicious home-made food. Next to the dining room there is a small bar with seating area, where you can buy a drink and relax. Our Oak Room, with its wood detail and plush sofas and chairs, is the perfect spot to sit back and chat with new friends, and there is also a TV here.
