Patchwork and Quilting Holidays
Our Patchwork & Quilting Holidays will appeal to both the seasoned and novice quilter. From our studio, with its panoramic views, you can enjoy the comforts of this beautiful house while receiving expert tuition and guidance from your tutor.
Sampler Quilts and Beautiful Bargello
Sampler quilts is a great project for beginners and all patchworkers. Very flexible range of designs. Make a small quilt or use the sampler blocks to make a bed/table runner or panels for a bag or cushions.
Beautiful Bargello is a lovely technique to learn or explore for all levels.

Arrive late afternoon on the Sunday to afternoon tea in the lounge and a warm welcome from your tutor.
During the week you will work on your project at morning and afternoon sessions in the studio at Gartmore House. By the end of your holiday you will have completed your chosen small/medium project or be well on with a larger quilt (or finished that if you are very speedy!)
Spend the evenings in our lounge where we provide a variety of entertainment which could include a talk on the history of Gartmore House with its wonderful tale of politics poetry and passion, (you may be interested particularly in the Cayzer Room freize, which past quilters have used in their designs), DVD night or quizzes, or if you choose, continue work on your project.
Your week will also include a visit to Loch Katrine or The Scottish Wool Centre in Aberfoyle. Transport is provided for this trip.
Departure is after breakfast on the Friday.
